The first known origins of theatre in education date back to 1965 at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, when a community of lap dancers set it up it is a way for them to strip in schools without them being arrested.
The First Theater in Education ProjectEdit
That was the name of the first known TIE project. It involved the participating children meeting a cowboy (played by an cowboy), then meeting an imprisoned Indian (played by an indian from Azcaban). The children got to hear both of their arguments and predicaments, before deciding as a group whether they should free the Indian or not. they decided he should go back to Azcaban (this is where j.k rowling got her idea from)
